Beliefs

A year of injury can nudge a begrudging soul

to consider exactly what she believes in.

She believes in love and light and friendship.

She believes hope is essential.

She believes in a series of tiny, meandering paths that re-route themselves when trees fall in her forest and preferred pathways are blocked.

She believes in a thread, that holds her instinctive passions, that unwinds as she strolls about,

yet it anchors her to true and sacred things.

She believes we all have something significant to offer.

We offer what we have when we wake up and show up.

 It isn’t always magical.

It is often tedious

And sometimes intimidating.

But no offering is insignificant.

She believes we are forgiven for the errors we make

And blessed for the love we offer.

.She believes in pain.

Pain is a path to the truth.

And the truth will set you free.

She believes in being free.
